I have a small collection of pillboxes, and I think this may be the one that started it. I remember being in the mall, of all places, inside this kitschy store that had all sorts of womanly travel ephemera ("a happy life..." sort of stuff). But this caught my eye, maybe because of the subject matter, maybe because of the collage-style, maybe the miniatures. I've collected pillboxes ever since.
